SWAN is the most widely used computer model to compute irregular waves in coastal environments, based on deep water wave conditions, wind, bottom topography, currents and tides (deep and shallow water). SWAN explicitly accounts for all relevant processes of propagation, generation by wind, interactions between the waves and decay by breaking and bottom friction. Diffraction is included in an approximate manner in SWAN. The SWAN support package by Digital Hydraulics consists of the following items:
1. The SWAN executable with graphics extension, i.e. the program that carries out the wave computations
2. The user documentation for the graphics extension
3. A simple tool to run SWAN with graphics extension stand-alone, outside the control of the Graphical User Interface
4. The Graphical User Interface for SWAN (with graphics extension) with help files for every sub-menu
5. A few bottom files to test the GUI and SWAN with graphics extension
6. The graphical post-processing program OPGraph, like SWAN with a hyperlinked user documentation
7. The package only runs on MS-Windows based systems.
